Private lessons are for adults only unless Head Coach Gemma has advised that players aged 4 to 16 take a few private lessons. All players are required to read & comply with the terms & conditions listed below and on our terms page. Payment is directly to your coach, who will provide you with lesson costs when you make contact and they will detail how to make payment.
Wrecclesham members and non-members can book lessons at Wrecclesham. However, it is important to note that non-members will incur an additional £5 charge on top of the lesson fee.

Private lessons are for adults only unless Head Coach Gemma has advised that players aged 4 to 16 take a few private lessons.
Bookings & Payments
- Any group credit cannot be used with any private lessons.
- All bookings MUST be made online or by text/email in advance.
- Payment MUST be made by directly to the coach who will confirm ways to pay.
- If there are any changes the coach will agree this in writing with the player prior to the lesson.
Cancellation
- Cancellation window for a full refund is up to 2 hours before the start of your lesson.
- If you cancel with less than 2 hours notice for any reason the full amount is required as a cancellation fee.
- If the weather prevents play the coach will make the decision and contact the player to cancel and re-book or refund.
- Coaches reserve the right to refuse lessons if players:
- do not have a booking
- mess the coaches around
- do not pay the coach in full
- cancel with less than 2 hours notice
- do not turn up to 2 or more private lessons
- breaches of any terms, policies or guidance
- if you turn up with symptoms or generally feel unwell
- do not behave in an appropriate manner to any person
- refuse to pay the cancellation but attempt to book another session
- cause disturbance during lessons in any way or are dangerous on court
- if you book as a member but do not hold valid, in date tennis club membership at that venue
Coaching Activity
- Private lessons are run as one-to-one or as a shared group lesson (max 2 players & players are responsible for organising small groups)
- Please do not come down to the courts until 5 minutes before the start of your lesson.
- A buffer period is built in between each session to maintain social distancing.
- Players must still wash their hands with sanitiser at the start of the lesson.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Players must bring their own full water bottles
- Players must bring their own rackets where possible
- Cancel your lesson if you have COVID-19 symptoms or are generally feeling unwell.
- Coaches reserve the right to refuse to teach players without refund who turn up feeling unwell or showing symptoms of covid-19.
Venue Information
- We do not allow parents on court during any form of lessons.
- Supporters, parents, family members, and other spectators are welcome to stay and watch the tennis, however this must be from an off court position, either over by the clubhouse or on the field.
- Players and spectators are allowed inside the clubhouses, however, we will close the clubhouses if:
- No dogs inside
- Covid infections rise
- Litter is left in the clubhouses
- The clubhouses are left in a mess
- Mud is put across the clubhouse floor
- Food or drink is left behind or dropped over the floor
- The clubhouse and its contents are not respected by the users
- The tennis balls on the side or in buckets are not to be emptied or played with, please leave them alone
- If you use any cups, plates or cutlery, please ensure they are cleaned, dried and put away in the correct place before leaving.
- We have had issues before with people not respecting the clubhouses, we ask that you leave the clubhouse in a clean state.
Players who breach any of these rules will be unable to book lessons with any of our coaches.
