Try before you buy with our exclusive Play Test program! You can book a racket to play test and if you like it you can buy a new one through our Tecnifibre sponsorship (images may vary from actual product & prices are subject to change).

​Please note if you wish to then buy a new racket we will need to order it in.

Play Test: How it works

1. View the rackets below under Play Tennis Rackets
2. Click on the relevant pay now button
3. Pay the racket price + £10 Play Test fee
4. Test the racket out for a maximum of 7 days
5.a. Return the racket and be refunded the racket price only
5.b. Order the racket as new from us and be refunded the £10 Play Test fee

If you are attending a lesson with us then you can Play Test the rackets then, without paying the Play Test fees.

Step 2. Find Grip Size

This section is only for when your buying a new racket, our Play Test range are in grip sizes 2 or 1.
A rough way of finding out is by holding a racket in your normal forehand grip. If the racket is of the correct grip size, the distance between your palm and longest finger should approximately be the width of a finger.
If you do not have a racket available to measure, an alternative way is to measure your hand using a ruler. Line up the ruler on your palm in line with the intersection of the thumb and fingers. The length from there to the top of your ring finger (next to the little finger) is roughly the right size.

Step 3. Book / Order

Play Test Booking
    Tennis rackets will typically need to be collected from Wrecclesham TC on a day and time agreed with us.

    Once you have clicked the order book now we will be in touch to confirm your Play Test booking and a payment link will be sent to you. 
    Terms and Conditions:
    • Do not remove any grips or dampeners
    • Rackets will be thoroughly inspected on return
    • A max of 2 rackets can be demoed at one time
    • Return the racket and be refunded the racket price only
    • Refunds can take 5 - 10 working days to show in your account 
    • Late returns can result in none of the fees not being refunded
    • Order the racket as new and be refunded the £10 Play Test fee
    • Failure to return the racket will result no refunds of the racket price or Play Test fee
    • Products and prices are subject to change and the new racket may differ in colour to the demo
    • We reserve the right to add extra charges or reject the racket if there are signs of misuse or damage
    • If you like the racket, we will need to order it in for you from Smash Sports. Please note some new rackets come unstrung and you will need to book your racket in for a restring.

    Once you have clicked the order book now we will be in touch to confirm your order and agree the dates. Payment to be made by bank transfer, we will send you the bank details.
